New Year =New Me. It's the common response we have to a New Year and one with a full moon to boot!
Be mindful of your New Years resolutions, be present with what you've chosen, or if you haven't chosen any. Maybe you've already made some and then broken them?
"Be grateful for what you already have while you pursue your goals. If you aren’t grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you would be happy with more." #Roy T. Bennett
It's a funny thing about life, once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack. If it feels right for you recall one habit that you’re grateful for. Perhaps something you have chosen to do for a while maybe even years. Think about how you keep that habit in your life. And maybe feel a little grateful for the choices you’ve made to keep it in your life💖 There is always more right with you then wrong with you.
The glass is always 1/2 full 🥛
Gratitude is an informal meditation practice. Just by taking time to recall what you are grateful for, to acknowledge what fills your glass up, has shown to have a huge impact on perception and attitude.
So if it feels right for you:
Take a breath
Close the lids
Hand on heart
Recall the people, events, habits, stories in your life that you are grateful for.
Feel gratitude and take a moment to explore the body.
How do the muscles feel?
When you are ready come back with one concious breath, the contact of the ground beneath you and the sounds around you.
May you take gratitude with you always :).
